Maui Visit: Upcountry Trees

I had no idea how many trees there are on Maui up country at higher elevations.  It actually started feeling a little Northwest-like at some points!  On our way up to Haleakala National Park, there were so many trees along the way, especially eucalyptus.  The smell was so amazing!

I know eucalyptus trees are native to Australia, but there are so many here on Maui.  There were also many eucalyptus trees along the Northern coast of Spain, and that was a surprise!  Maybe I will go upcountry again before we leave and do some forest bathing, since the eucalyptus the fragrant essential oils are so soothing and clean.  It must be good for the spirit!

To the Forest!
