The Wonder of Trees

I felt the wonder yesterday at the Washington Park Arboretum.

Hell yes! Wonderment!

There is so much beauty there!  I stood by many trees, and enjoyed the fragrant scents of the flowers, the tall lush tree canopies, and the sound of leaves rustling in the wind.

The arboretum is just 2 miles away from where I live.  I feel like the luckiest lady alive to live so close to such beauty.  True gratitude!

During all seasons, and through the ugly-cry-face and happy-belly-laugh times, the the Arboretum is always the perfect place to enjoy nature in the city.

For your listening pleasure, here is an interview with author, Jungian analyst and activist Jean Shinoda Bolen MD  on the Wonder of Trees.  She recently wrote a book called “Like a Tree: How Trees, Women, and Tree People Can Save the Planet.”  It is on my reading list for sure.

Now get yourself to the forest!
